Since 1956 The purpose of this non-profit social club is to promote the rockhound hobby by providing opportunities for the collection, working, and displaying of gems and minerals, as well as educational programs in the field of geology through field trips, training classes, and our annual gem and mineral show. Located in Lewiston, Idaho, we are affiliated with the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. We are members of the American Lands Access Association.

AFMS Code of Ethics

The Hells Canyon Gem Club is affiliated with the the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies (NFMS), and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS). All members at all levels of these societies are governed by a code of ethics that include 17 governing rules attached above.

We are also affiliated with the American Lands Access Association (ALAA).
